About Us

How We Got Started

The Foundation for Impact on Literacy and Learning (formerly known as the USA TODAY Charitable Foundation) is an IRS tax-exempt 501c3 organization that has developed and executed cross curricular educational programs and resources for schools since 2003. Our resolve is to bring important resources to educators and students with the help of our generous donors.

Our Mission

Help Shape the Future of Our Youth. The Foundation for Impact on Literacy and Learning provides excellent programming and resources to educators and students and has been doing so for over almost two decades. Our donors collaborate with us in order to shape and develop the future generation so that they may successfully move forward to the future.

Current Programs

Lead4Change Student Leadership

Lead4Change is designed to encourage middle and high school students to hone leadership skills by completing a service-learning project that addresses a need in their community or school. Currently the leading and fastest growing leadership program, Lead4Change has more than 8,500 participating educators and has been real-world tested by 1.5 million students since 2012.

Panasonic Eco Citizenship Project

Panasonic North America has provided funding for this exciting program for many years. This program is provided to schools at no-cost. This eco-citizenship educational program and competition is targeted to students in grades 5-8 in New Jersey and Denver area schools. The program inspires students to: explore environmental issues, discover what others are doing to protect the environment, decide what can be done to positively impact their local environment, create an environmental action plan and determine how to act on their plans.
