Beverly holds a BS in elementary education and an MS in educational technology, both from Indiana University. She taught second grade for five years and later taught English virtually to students in China. She now works on the consulting side of education across FILL’s programs, including Meet LEA and Explore.Act.Tell.

Stephanie Morell

Stephanie holds a BS in elementary education from the University of Indianapolis and an MEd in curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M University–Commerce. She taught for many years and worked as a PBL math consultant, and now serves as program manager and consultant for Explore.Act.Tell. while coaching student teachers with the University of Indianapolis School of Education.

Common questions

What does it cost?

Nothing, at any stage. Meet LEA is grant-funded, and there is no upsell attached to it.

Is there a minimum group size?

Yes, for an educator session — 10 or more educators. It works best as a staff meeting, a district PD day or a department session. If you have fewer, join a masterclass instead; there is no minimum for those.

What if I don’t have 10 colleagues to join me?

Come to a masterclass. It is the same session, run twice a month on different days and at different times so there is a slot that works wherever you are, with educators from everywhere joining together. Register and we’ll send you the invitation.

What is my commitment?

Your commitment is only 45 minutes. If you share your knowledge with your colleagues and students we would appreciate it, just let us know how many you hope to train.

Does this carry PD credit or CEUs?

No. These sessions don’t award professional development credit. Some districts choose to count them toward internal PD hours — that’s a decision on your end, and we’re happy to confirm attendance if it helps.

Are sessions recorded?

No. Every session is delivered live on Google Meet. If some of your educators can’t make the date, book a second session — there’s no limit on how many you run.

What do educators need?

A computer and an internet connection. Anyone without one can pair up with a colleague who has — that’s enough to take part in the hands-on sections. Nothing to install, no accounts to create, no reading beforehand.

Do you deliver in person?

Not currently. All sessions are live on Google Meet.
